Hi ALL,
I'm wondering if I need an FFL to buy a RECEIVER for a GARAND or just my C&R license........

As I understand it your C&R is only good for the whole firearm not a receiver. I know that some places sell barreled actions and such to C&R FFL's but I believe a receiver alone is stretching it.

Have no idea, but if RS is on target, I find it ironic that a C&R isn't allowed to get just the receiver because the receiver isn't a gun, but a non-C&R isn't allowed to get just the receiver because the receiver IS a gun. :(

Ironic . . . no! It's the BATF were talking about remember! If you just keep in mind that it's their goal to prevent people from owning weapons then it all makes perfect sense!
