Does anyone know the twist rate of a Norinco BWK92 in.223 caliber?

Yes. The twist rate is 1:9. I have one of these fine rifles, and I just went and measured it. It's definitely 1:9 (which is the same as the .223 AK listed in the reviews on this site). You should be able to shoot SS109 type ammo from your BWK92. I haven't tried this myself, yet. Russian TCW 55-gr FMJ is all I've used thus far (3050 fps chrono from my BWK92).
The fit and finish of the two examples I've seen of the BWK-92 is absolutely wonderful. If all Chinese rifles were like the ones I saw, their reputation would be different. The only problem is those horrible (orange) thumb hole stocks. The odd color I can deal with, but they're more uncomfortable than most. Fortunately, there is a lot of meat on there, and some filing and cutting can make a very comfortable, functional stock. Just leave it a thumbhole to keep it legal.
Magazines (30 rd) for this rifle are available, and not too costly. See my message in the "accessories and mags" section for more info.
