Can I get some feedback on the quality of a Norinco vs. a Maadi? I'm about to buy a Mak of some sort, there are some Maadis and Norincos available here in Phoenix. Which is better?

Boy that is a broad comparison. Stamped to stamped I have seen more decent mak 90s than maadis. But that doesnt mean there arnt some solid shooting maadis floating around out there. I here the milled mak 90s are very nice and shoot like a dream wouldnt mind having another milled gun to keep the SLR company. Or one of those nhm91 guns. Best of luck

First one I bought was Norinco. I have owned for 7 years now. After several thousand rounds of mil-surp ammo, it still feeds any thing and everything in the mag. It still will put 'em all on a paper plate at 200 M's. Plus, you can clean it with a Hose!.

I currently own both an mak90 and a maadi and have owned several in the past. Personally, I don't see much difference in performance or reliability between the two when they are both made with stamped receivers. However, I kind of like the look of the wood on the maadi a little more than the chinese wood, plus the maadi has the cleaning rod under the barrel which looks nice...it's really a matter of which is more cosmetically appealling to you.

The Mac/Maddi are pretty close, but the Mac has the thickest stamped receiver. I would go with the Mac.
