I was wondering if anybody had information on the FN manufacture 8mm being advertised by classic arms.
http://www.classic-arms.com (http://)

It's advertised @39.95 /500rds.

Also will romanian 153gr. ammo shoot to POA out of an M48a.

Thanks

First off welcome to the Forums. Hope to see you stick around and post with us regularly.

The stuff sold by Classic is marked Ecuadorian, though they and Widners of Johnson City TN say it's made by FN Herstal for the Ecuadorians. I haven't shot any of this ammo but I have shot Ecuadorian made in 54 and I was unimpressed. No duds but 3 rounds out of each 15 round box neede a 2nd hit by the firing pin to go off. Accuracy . . . nothing to write home about.

The Interordnance Romanian ammo . . . now that's a horse of a different color! I am pleased to report that it's really good ammo. No duds, no 2nd hit's required, sure fire, and . . . . accurate!

I fired it in my Yugo reworked K98k and in AKDUDES M48 Yugo off of a rest at a target at 100 meters. Bot weapons shot about 2 MOA for the most part. Performance much better than the Ecuadorian or even Yugo ammo.

Interordnance is out of Romanian 8 mm now, but when it comes in again everybody needs about 5 or 6 cases of this stuff. It's the freaking best I've tested! Lastly it's 1970 to 1977 dated so it's not 50 years old. Stuff looks like they made it last month. Man I love that ammo!:D
