Mags are legal. The range shouldn't say anything. They are legal.

Jake,
It will be legal to own and use 30rd mags after 1/2000 (so long as the mags were bought before 1/2000). Remember most shooting ranges are privately owned so they can set their own rules. I believe the registration IS voluntary. The state would like it if you did not register your gun, that way they could legally take it from you if for some reason your pulled over for a traffic ticket while going to the range or checked out shooting at the range! The state already knows you own the gun anyway so the reregistration is no big deal. It seems like the NRA is asleep on this one?

correct me if im wrong-- but when the state gets the paper work from when you buy your long gun that they are required to destroy it after 5 days ? so in effect they dont know you have a gun or not, unless you register it ? yes or no ?
Hey Jake, how much was your SA-85 ? i might be needing to drive up there to get one
