I just wanted to give a great big "Thumbs Up" to AIM Surplus!! I ordered a SAR-3 from them Friday evening. They told me it would be shipped on Monday and I'd have it in my hands on Wednesday. Well, it arrived this morning (Wednesday morning) and it couldn't have been a better rifle if it had been hand-select!

I'm not used to a company keeping their word, but AIM was wonderful to deal with!!! I highly recommend their services and products to anyone!!

I have to add my thumb up for Aim. I ordered several thousand rounds of ammo on friday, was told they would ship on monday and I would have it tuesday. Guess what? At noon today (tuesday, April 30) the brown truck showed up! Everything as ordered and on the day promised! WOW!!!:jump: :jump:

Yes Bryan and the folks at Aim and some of the BEST! They do their best to ship on time and have answered all my E-mails

I know most of you guys here are into the semi-guns but I have my roots in C&R(but gotta love d AKs) and find that the K-31 that I got from AIM to be the most accurate rifle I own and they now have them on sale.Nimrod :D

I ordered a Yugo M48A Mauser a month ago from AIMsurplus, and it was shipped promptly. I disassembled it, degreased the wood and inspected all the metals, and was thoroughly impressed.
Actually, the gun is VERY surplus. The firing pin is perfect, the base of the magazine has not a scratch on it, and the rifling grooves are razor sharp right at the firing chamber. The weapon has only been fired a dozen times or less.

Next aquisition, SAR-1 !!!

I am looking to buy an SAR-1 and read your post on AIM surplus. The cool thing about AIM is, they are only 15 miles from where I live and I have never heard of them. I guess they have a store front there and I can get the gun without having to worry about shipping. I was thinking of buying some Yugoslavian ammo from them. Anyone shoot this ammo? I thought this ammo may be better because it has a brass case.

There was info in the ammunition forum on the yugo ammo. Myself i was at aim last thursday and bought two cases of the yugo ammo and 200 rounds of makarov ammo (wanted to try the brands they offered in my makarov). They are located in Middletown, Oh on Lefferson rd. if this helps in finding them. From what i have heard the yugo ammo is a touch more accurate than the wolf, so I will find out next time I get to the range after i get home to AL. (BTW I did not drive to Ohio for ammo only, had other stuff going on there). They were very helpful and friendly there, and i would definitely do business with them again.

Gee Sniper, bet you came I-85 back to Bama. You could have brought me a case of ammo and saved me on shipping. :lol I live about a mile from ol' 85 in N.C. Glad you enjoyed the trip. Nimrod :)

dnimrod, actually I came back 75 to 71 to 65 and took that down to AL. Of course I could have always altered course:D . I had enough room for about 20 more cases, but not the funds available for the expenditure to buy 20 more. I figure if they still have it available in sept or oct then maybe i can drive that way and get some more (maybe i will have more room then, hard to say). How far into NC do you live?

I just recieved my SAR-1 from AIM, and I have no complaints about them either. The rifle they shipped to me is in pretty outstanding shape for an SAR, so I owe them a thumbs up for giving me a good one.
