I got an old .303 british round that i found in a bag of surplus ammo that i bought. The date is 19 on the bottom and it has the initials of D.A.L. it also has a nickel or steel bullet in it, does anyone know what country of origin this would be from? I am also curios if this is the actual date of manufacture 1919, If so i think i will go buy a few more of these since there is alot of these old rounds at the store.

I know i posted this in AK-47.net

Not Schultzenman Neil it's Schuetzenman! :p

The 19 on the case would indicate to me it's 1919. Is the bullet round nosed? Load should be cordite, littel rods of powder.

My guess would be India or Paskistan.

it is FMJ and it has the tipical pointed nose, the bullet is also a silver color material, not copper

Move down to DAC head stamps. There is an "L" meaning Cordite.
