I have a USAK (MAC 90) that has all the legal parts to put it below 10 imported parts but I dont have any proof such as the BATF Legal Letter that I could show to LE if they question the gun. The only thing that I have for proof right now that you can see on the rifle is the hammer has USA on the side of it. It has a MSG forward stock and pistol grip and an origional Bulgarian butt stock. The MSG stuff doesent have any USA stampings on them.
So my gun is a legal post ban gun that looks like a pre-ban AK and it is all legal. In the eyes of an unknowlagable LE it looks like a MAC 90 with a pistol grip stock wich a LE would consider illegal. What if the LE doesent know about the US parts loophole? I feel like I need to get some sort of info that I can keep with the rifle to rest easy.
