Questions on my M1 Carbine

I just bought a M1 Carbine and have some questions...

Specs: Saginaw S'G'
SN- 256xxx
Barrel does not have date.
It does have CCC stamped on it and what looks like a
Faint F or P on it.
Puch Button Safety marked- CC M
Rear Sight is marked (SA Springfied Armory?)
Early Barrel band Marked UI
15 rd.Magazine Marked UI

Rifle is in Very Good shape except someone replaced stock with
a good quality paratrooper repro stock.

Can someone please tell me a DOB on this puppy?
How collectible is this one?
Any other info would be cool.

Post in the M1 Carbine Forum at www.jouster.com Someone there will have a book they can look it up in. I don't know of any websites that have serial#/date of maufacture info for the carbine. HTH
