mas 49/56 from SOG(Pic)

The little carbine arrived from SOG. This carbine looks new!
Came with all the goodies. It's not as fugly as I thought.
I'm too tired and lazy to cut the socks out, so guys go easy on
me!

Nice weapon. They look even better with the Russie PSO1 type scope on them. Picture is dark, so I can't tell if you have the rubber buttpad. If you don't, you'll want one, because it adds to the Fugly.

Never fired and only dropped once......All of them are in that condition :D

The carbine came with the black butt pad still in a sealed bag.
It is dated 1962. I probably won't be putting on the stock.

I'm too broke from my recent gun purchases to afford ammo.
So, it'll be a few month before I try this beast .

Congratulations on a very nice rifle. I assume it came with all the nice goodies? You may want to use the buttpad depending on your reach. Recoil with the 7.5x54 isn't much but the pad makes the length of pull a little better for me at least. We should get together a VA French Rifle shoot. You know, French rifle, quiche, french fries, women in fishnet stockings. Kind of a French day that the range sort of thing. ;)

Nice weapon. I love the MAS rifles. They grow on you. I bet you'll be getting the MAS36 next. :)
