Can't decide: SA-85M used in like new shape for 450. or Vepr new.
All input much appreciated.
That's a tough one. I have both and would hate to choose. I guess that I'd get the Vepr first and then the SA-85M;) .

I got a vepr and love it I have owned pretty much all the ak's that have been imported the Vepr is the best maybe the bulgarian is in second place but think about it a Russian rifle you can't do any better in AK's this is my first post and my opinon you might not agree to each his own its up to you and what you like:p

The Hungarian guns are at least as good of quality as the Russian or Bulgies.
If you want a true AKM type weapon that you can convert to look like a true AKM, go with the SA-85.
VEPR's use the extra thick Molot made RPK receiver, but due to the slanted receiver rear, will not accept any AKM/AK-74 buttstocks.
Basically, if all you want it for is shooting and accuracy, I'd go with the VEPR. If however, you may want to modify it to look like a true AKM, go with the SA85M.
