Changing Gas Tube?

Is it ever a thing to be done and is it a pain?

I haven't changed it but have had it off two of my rifles for cleaning, it's not that bad, you just need the right punch.

They are suposed to be self cleaning.

Do not worry about it . If you want to clean it , I have been told you cn get something like a LONG pipe cleaner at Hobby Lobby .
