8mm Ammo in Bandolier?

I just saw Cheaper than Dirt selling this Turkish 8mm in bandolier stuff, I have seen it in a few other places also. Is it worth buying? I mean 70 rounds of anything for $5 aint bad, but when they mention NO returns, I begin to worry...

Any thoughts?

Really? So other than it being corrosive, its worth the purchase. I will have to pick some up. I was worried about there being duds and etc.

It's extremely cheap and reliable. I bought a case of 1400 and I
might buy some more.

Most of the Turk 8mm is good to go with the exception of I believe the 1947 headstamped stuff. IIRC this is the year that seems to show up with quite a few cracked case mouths and loose bullets. The Turk ammo seems also to have gained velocity as it has aged. Velocities can be quite high with some batches. I've not heard of any problems but it's something to bear in mind. If you have a C&R on file with Century they aften sell it @ 1000rds shipped for $60. 1400rds will run about $88. I'll look for the link about the velocities. HTH

I just sent away for my C&R so maybe I wil pick up a few bandliers and wait until I get the C&R and then order a big order from Century

I just placed an order for 700rds from Century. I have had great experiences with the Turk ammo. My M48 shoots great with it, damn near point of aim at 50 yards and surprisingly tight groups. I highly recommed it, can't be beat for the price.

What was the 1400rd price, $88.00? I was thinking of getting another batch myself but I'm still hovering around the 3K mark so maybe something else this month. I should be ordering another can of 30.06 from the CMP but they're still temporarily out. What's a Cruffler to do:p
