Neil,
I just recieved one recently and it's bare of finish. I am planning on refinishing mine and would like it to look authentic. What type of finish would you say is on yours?

Speedfish Not Neil but mine are green/grey parkerized and the bolts are black park(body and cocking piece).

Also I've read that there are blued FR8's around. But neither of mine are.

Im so glad it came neil I was just about to put a trace on it I paid for 2 or 3 day priority mail and it took what almost 2 weeks great picture jerry thanks you too he is doing much better now he got a new job. I only wish I would have had the money to buy that fr8 is much better than mine.

Ooooops, my bad!
Thanks, ED4 with the info, but I meant the finish on the wood. Do you think I should use BLO, tung oil, is it laquered? And Neil that is one beautiful rifle, would love to see some close ups.
