Not just in 1911 section.
But maybe we ought to have a gallery section. Gallery section
will have pictures of crufflers weapons. Therefore, new views can
see what particular weapons look like and check his/her gun condition vs. the one in the gallery.
Gallery section can be broken into maybe 5 sections. rifle and pistol for C&R, rifle and pistol modern(should be military) and misc(shotgun/subgun/machinegun).
Gallery section can only happen if we don't run into space problem on the server or any bandwidth problem.
My .02 cents worth.

I think a 1911 fourm would be great. I would go there when I had spare time. This board is getting so big though I can't get every where in a day. Not that that is a bad thing.

How about a somewhat smaller picture in your sig? It goes off the edge of my screen set at 1024x768. I have a fast connection so my download time is fine, but that has got to really lag the people on dial up.
Nice looking gun btw, just a little too large for a sig file. :)

I'd like to see a manual or stripping instructions as a sticky on top.
That pic in your signature is pretty big :D

I like the disassembley/parts idea. Not sure what I'd like to see in the forum specifically whoever I will update the Parts Forum with links and info on companies that carry reproduction .45acp parts, accessories, leather as well as after market accessories.

LOL @ ksuguy! I had the same thought but lacked the balls to post it. I've got a 1991A1 but I'm always fascinated with reading about .45s and their histories. Comparisons between C&R .45s. Exclusion of non c&r guns, or at least noting that it's not C&R. Best of Luck with the board.

I like this idea! Like custom parts (ie. memory beavertails, ambi safeties, etc.) that are drop-in or require little work.
Can't Wait!!!!!

Yeah but all 1911's are pretty much the same. What you could do each week is feature a different manufactuer with stats, including its website (or a distributers website)
For example:
http://www.kimberamerica.com/
Kimber
"…Kimber has rewritten the book on the 1911 and raised the bar so high for Model 1911 price/features packaging that Colt itself has acknowledged it's a major reason why that company's premium-priced basic 1911 line has essentially disappeared from the marketplace."
Dick Metcalf Shooting Times 7/01
http://www.kimberamerica.com/_images/09.1-Custom.jpg
The Kimber Custom II is the best value in a production 1911 pistol ever offered. Finished in durable matte black oxide, it features beveled front and rear slide serrations, match grade barrel and trigger group, polished breech face and full length guide rod. Also available with hand-checkered double diamond walnut grips (Custom/Walnut II™) and with Meprolight Tritium three dot (green) night sights (Custom/Night Sights II™).

Then the next week you could feature this:
Kimber
http://www.kimberamerica.com/_images/09.3-Stainless.jpg
The Stainless II has all the features of the Custom II, with a slide and frame machined from the finest stainless steel forgings. It is bead blasted to an elegant satin finish. Available with Meprolight Tritium three dot (green) night sights (Stainless/Night Sights II™). Also available in .40 S&W.

What do you guys think?
