I recently made a purchase from Southern Ohio Guns, There web sight stated a free extra magazine with purchase, Well buyer beware! After receiving my handgun there was no free extra magazine, I called them and they stated "Oh that was a special during the month of April" Well now the ol bait and switch trick!

So buyer beware, I would suggest before ordering anything from these guys , to call confirm advertisment on the web sight .

I will really have to see one hell of a good deal before I make a purchase from S.O.G. in the future.

That's too bad. I've had pretty good luck with their guns being good when my dealer orders them "hand select" from them.

The others can be a crap shoot, though.

I was satisfied with the handgun I recieved, just never got all that was advertised.
The kicker I noticed this morning was that my account was charged TWICE !!
Now I have to call SOG, find out what is the deal with that, then the bank, JEEEEZZZZ!!! This has been close to becoming a NIGHTMARE!!!

Not again I can guarantee!!!

Well. after 2 days on the phone with the S.O.G. Crooks.

They insist they only charged me once, my bank has sent them proof they have charged me 2 times.
My bank has credited my account that should not have come out in the first place, and S.O.G. Crooks still say that they only charged once. Looks like if you want to lie and steal be more convincing.
You all can buy from them if you want, But I will have to say when this happens to you don't say you weren't warned!

I myself will drive 100 miles or pay a little more to get a reputable deal. Looks like I was about to pay double anyway!

With forums like this at leaste we can warn others as too the shady dealers out there, these guys are the shadiest, There customer service is about 5 steps below your local Laundramat.

The Beretta 1934's they advertised a few months back were not "unissued" as stated, they were not worth the value they quoted from the Blue Book in the ad (which would have corresponded to a true unissued). Instead they were arsenal dip refinished over pits, dings and scratches. All kinds of hassles when I tried to return. They also "forgot" to handselect (didn't do, didn't charge) on a K-31. Same screwy attitude.

When there are people like TAPCO, AIM, etc. I don't think I need the aggravation of dealing with SOG.

Man, I hope the word gets out enough to keep others from having to go through the BS.

I totally agree, there are enough GOOD merchants that we all can deal with,

Damn good thing I don't live within driving distance to these Crooks!

Just pisses me off that there are people that run such a unprofessional business and try to rip people off.

I once ordered a ballester molina .45 pistol which they advertised as arsenal refinished. When I got it, the barrel was rusted. They said I could return it. But what's the use in spending $15 fedex to ship a pistol back for a barrel that could be bought new for $15? So, never did. That's my experience.

I ordered a VG handpick Polish M44 from them that they had on special one month. The rifle was not even in good condition. It was not worth the hassle to send it back but I have not ordered from them since.
