Now who was it that was looking for one of these? Anyway, I noticed at a pair of "project" guns at Hoosier Gun Works under their odd lots section:

Schmidt Rubin M-1911 rifle, and M-1889 carbine. Bolt action. Sporterized military stocks cut down. Metal untouched. No magazines, exc cond bore. Pair (2)VG for $150.00

Schmidt Rubin M-1889 7.5 swiss, sporterized stock cutdown, with magazine, sight altered, barrel shortened. GD $125.00

Oh that's sad! The 1889 is the one with the very weak action that has the locking lugs at the back of the bolt. The 1911 is ok with the GP-11 cartridge. There are repo mags and stocks available for the K31. You might be able to get a stock off of wwwSwissrifles.com and their forums, heck maybe an original mag too! But you'll probably have $65 in the mag and $150 in the stock.

These were more or less thrown out there as a pair to pick up only if you thought you might find or had some replacement/restoration parts cheap. I know I kick myself in the butt every time I see a reasonably priced Enfield Pattern 1914 stock for sale. Especially when I could have picked up all the metal parts not that long ago ($50) from someones Bubba job on one.
