I took the pint sized 8mm to the range Friday and shot a box of ammo through it.
It does kick like a mule, and I aimed the usual 6" low at 100 yds to compensate for the 200 meter fixed rear sight.
My best grouping was 5 shots in 3", and it shot slightly high and to the right, but I was surprised how close to center I was with no adjustments. I was also surprised to see such a close cluster from a rifle with a 17.5" barrel! This little carbine is really cool!
These rifles are a steal IMO, for $65 from Springfield Sporters.

No website that I know of, but I find their ads in every SGN.
They are selling two Carcanos - the Model 1941 6.5mm Long Rifles, and the M38S 8mm Carbines.
You will have to call them, because they aren't even advertising these guns in SGN anymore. They even make you file a nonshooting statement because of all the false rumors that once circulated about Carcanos, if you can believe that.

Looks and sounds great. What did you do for a clip?

I have been feeding it single for now, until I finish modifying a 6.5mm clip to work with this rifle.
If anyone else gets one, I'll share the conversion procedure. I don't know where to get 8mm Carcano clips.

The bluing on all these is about 70-80%.
One thing collectors of other rifles will immediately notice when handling a Carcano is the remarkably smooth (sometimes mirror with a Beretta) metal finish, particularly with the WWII era rifles. Very similar to Enfields, IMO.
The second thing you will notice is the very light double stage trigger, with it's smooth release. Believe me, this helps with a 36" 8mm Carbine about to jackhammer your shoulder!:D
