maadi w/pistol grip

I have a maadi with a pistol grip. Is that legal if I bought it new like this? For that matter, if I change the grips to wood what happens?

The laws are so twisted it's hard to tell if you can clean a gun now days. I can't see why a wooden grip will make any difference.

Just make sure it is US made wood if the original part you are replacing is of US origin in order to keep up the parts count.
