The top letter is what I sent to Google with the bottom one attached which board member CETME sent to them.
E-mail them and let them know what you think.
Here is where you can send e-mail to google.
https://adwords.google.com/select/main?cmd=ContactUs
Below is an e-mail from one of my online gun friends, I repeat his sentiment three fold. Google is the basis for a lot of discussion on the internet gun boards and we will get the word out that Google is against our business and our 2nd amendment rights. Remember Dell a few months ago? That got on the nightly news and K-mart is believed to have been brought down by the gun ownwer crowd. The NRA has almost 5 million members and they are consumers of many porducts and services. I am pleased to be one of their members and as a member I will do whatever I can to let people know that Google is no friend to law abiding responsible gun owners. Be aware that 70 million Americans or more own close to 300 million firearms. That'a a lot of people to get on the wrong side when it comes to business. When you label those people lower than porno it doesn't make much sense by sensoring them from selling their goods.
Xxxx Xxxxx
CETME's letter
You have any idea how close knit the gun community is? why do you think K-Mart has been brought to its knees.... dont believe us? we are a fiesty bunch, and we'll get the word out. You guys were my main search engine. Not anymore. Its people like you who think that enjoying shooting as a sport is subhuman, have you ever held a gun responsibly? have you ever been to the shooting range with your friends and enjoyed a day there? You are against things you dont even understand. You have PORN advertised on your site, but not gun parts. Shame on you. Shame on you for spitting on the gun community and putting us under Perverts and Pedifiles. We will not forget this. You will feel this unless you publicly correct this absurdity and apologize

I signed and would just like to say thanks to everyone out there fighting for our rights. This forum and it's members allow me to be much more involved in defending my rights than ever by keeping things such as this petition on the front lines so to speak.
First you ask
Then you reason
Then you warn
Then you tell...
When all that fails you stand as 1 unstoppable militia larger than any army on the planet...Then they will realize without a shot fired they have lost.
In the spirit of America...United we stand, divided we fall.

Yes, they have. I know of about a dozen that have also quit using them. I have started using www.alltheweb.com. They actually have about 100 M more indexed pages than Google.

2569 Glad to lend my honest opinion.:)
Heh. I dont think boycotting google will make them lose much. I say, use them more but only for searches on guns or the products they so despise giving adspace to. Or get everyone to do it on one day to give them a nice bandwith spike. They do monitor keywords so they will know exactly why its happening.

I signed, but I don't think it will help. When I looked back I noticed that many signatures were voided as false entries, and
I saw a few that were also obvious fakes.

I just signed it. I'm number 3055 I believe.
Google has served me for years now mainly because It's fast and logical. Unfortunately, I'm confounded that google sets these absurd policies on itself, and am angered that over the years of having made countless gun-related searches, my searches have been sensored and thus I (and many others) have missed material from roughly 500 "gun-related" --I say that loosely-- sources.
Although I don't have time right now, I'll make sure to notify everyone in the 'Romanian AK' forum about googles acts, and direct them to sign the petition if someone else hasn't already done so. I recommend everyone else do the same in the forum sections they frequent.

Here's an interesting tid-bit:
In the past I had made several attempts to find Bulgaria Arsenal (www.arsenal-bg.com) through google, but would always strangely fail even though I clearly new it existed. Go ahead and type in 'Bulgaria Arsenal' in the google window, and tell me how much luck you have pin-pointing the exact address I have up there. Chances are that you probably wont find it DIRECTLY unless you go through several leads.
Now, try putting in 'Bulgaria arsenal' in say... AltaVista.com or alltheweb.com and Bulgaria arsenal should be the first link that pops up(!).
Doesn't seem logical.

You won't find Bulgaria Arsenal on google because google is not a crappy meta tag search engine which means. It searches the words on the site rather then meta tags that you don't see without looking at the html code. Point being Bulgaria Arsenal is a flash based web site that uses vector graphics rather than images and text.(google bots that search the web for websites cannot read flash websites) That makes google the best search engine out there. Google has the right to not accept any advertising they do not want.

google has treated me well for many years....
...but that's no redemption for blatant censorship. i hope they croak.
on that note, i'de like to introduce the idea that perhaps we're all overreacting. assuming we're trying to be objective here.... the article states that google won't terminate gun-related searches, but instead that they just won't accept advertisements from gun-related vendors.
are they not a private company? is this not america? are they not free to do as they wish within the constrants of the respective governing laws?
as long as they're not censoring thier searches, i don't see how censorship is an issue in any form.
now..... if you want to talk about signin a petition because we can stereotype the mindset of people who refuse advertisements from gun vendors, and be able to vicariously deduce and forshadow our future relations with them, THEN we're talkin, and i have no problem signing the petition....
.......just so long as we're all congruent in the understanding that what we're trying to do is impose our will, and that by doing so we're no better than anyone else who tries to impose thier will...
...including google.com....
so, assuming we don't want to be like google.com, (that wouldn't look too good for our case) and that we actually want something done about this, we're going to have to have a valid justification for our actions. i think it'd be wisest NOT to harbor the insidious "hey, we hate you. you're going down." mentality that i've seen run rampant throughout this forum, but instead as a group of people trying to ENLIGHTEN google. a people who's trying to EDUCATE not only google.com, but the world and show them that guns aren't the problem, and that they've only played the scapegoat throughout the centuries.
case in point: if you want people to listen, your point has to be valid. "die, google, die." is not valid. nobody will respect (and thereby listen to) a mob mentality.:(

That makes no sense to me. They just won't accept advertisements from weapon companies whats the big deal you people can go with a crappy search engine but im sticking with google, I hate advertisements anyway. I will never sign the worthless thing.

So Rifle Magazine is an anti-gun magazine?
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&q=rifle&btnG=Google+Search
Please aim before firing.
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&q=golf&btnG=Google+Search
No ads for golf. They must be anti-golf.
If someone said Bill Ruger was anti-gun, you could find people to sign the petition against him :).

I don't have ads for golf, maybe it's because I'm in Canada and different regions get different ads. Too much permafrost for golf.
Anyway, if Google were anti-gun, shooters should use them as their primary search engine. Because each search costs Google money. Just don't click on the ads. Especially the Rifle Magazine ads :).
