Thanks for the heads up , Redstar:rockin:

For disposable surplus it's the best deal around but I'm still happy I got in on some of the AIM Yugo brass stuff. I bought a tin of this stuff too

I got a tin too, today! And a thousand of 7.62x39 to keep it company.
I hope the BBT can make it up my driveway and I doubt the BBT pilot would hump all that up the hill! :(

I've never seen 340rd tins. The Czechs made 780rd tins which 340 is exactly 1/2 that. Bulgaria and someone else used 300 up until 1960 or so. Anything Russian before the 60's should be on strippers.

I got a case from them last time they had it but I can't remeber if it was the 440 tins or the 340 tins, it's still boarded up 2 tins to a case. I assume it's just the brown paper wrap loose ammo though. Strippers would be nice.
I about cut my finger off last time I opened a spam can so I'm not gung ho to do it until I need to get to the ammo.

I got a call as well as e-mail notification from my sales rep.
Looks like I'll be ordering some. I hate it when I give in and buy stuff I'm not supposed to!

Folks, I belive we may have stumbled on the textbook definition of "misplaced priorities". Here we have a man who:
A. Routinely uses tightly confined explosive materials to hurl projectiles hundred of yards at thousands of feet per second,
B. Routinely uses old, antiquated equipment to ignite said explosives, and
C. Routinely attempts to find the oldest, cheapest batches of said explosives to fire out of said antiques,
- and yet is most concerned about cutting himself on a can lid!;)

LMAO!
But...It's alot more fun sending that lead down range than it is figting with a spam can :D

Any 7.62x54r is probably better than the late 80s Albanian (Hungarian?) stuff with the "3" headstamp. Those have lots of dents, some pre-split cases and the raised lettering makes them not want to feed in some finicky rifles.

After speaking with my sales rep at CAI.
I ended up ordering 1 tin can of this Russian 7.62x54, for testing, if good, I'll order more but the minimum order is 50.00 for Century, so I broke down and ordered a Good Condition Polish M-44 for $44.87.
Looks like I'll be in trouble with the credit card again. Sometimes I wish I never got into this cruffler thing!
Sigh...
