Anyone know about the new Century HK G3's they are building
now on stamped sheet metal reciever instead of the old ones they were building on cast receivers? Any Good or bad experiences?

I looked at one at a local retailer yesterday. THe receiver looked pretty rough--not as nice as the cast receiver (I have a CETME with cast receiver).

That's only one sample, though. Anyone else?

I saw a few of those here at the local gun show.....compared to my CETME with the cast SW receiver, it looked as if they didn't even finished it, it had a rough texture to it, it looks as if they painted it, the wood was beat to hell, and real bad looking, unlike the one on my CETME.....the wood on the newer CETMEs are more suitable for kindling, then as gun furniture. as for function....somebody that bought, or test fired it the newer will have to answer that. if you're tinking of buying a CETME, I would advise you to find the older ones built on SW cast SS receiver.

Does the same go for the G-3? How about the Century G-3 sporters w/ the cast stainless receiver?
