Well, not too much going on here, compared to the AR-15 board. But, at least we can post pictures here without paying a membership fee!
Here's my Sp-1:

Nice rifle! I always liked the look of the first M16/AR15's. The new M4's are cool but your rifle is a "classic".
Is it a good shooter?

Very nice.http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid20/p3a5cc2e06d2aece3ce715bdb31c4080b/fdbac473.jpg.orig.jpg
My 1972 SP-1 for $214. That was a weeks pay back then. Would you believe I bought it from a dealer in Washington D.C. who was later convicted of selling arms to the IRA. He tried to sell me a S&W 9MM subgun for $74 and $200 Treasury Tax but I couldn't come up with the extra $60. An offer I really regret today.

Very cool, I prefer the standard SP-1 to all other AR variants. The 20" barrel is what the cartridge was designed to work with, and it is the weight that an AR should be, i.e. LIGHT!
Here is my 1964 Colt SP-1. First year production, with the original upper and also with a Colt large hole forward assist upper and new Colt M16A1 barrel that I use as my "burner" barrel.
