If it uses ten round only single stack mags you are screwed. Sell the damn thing and buy a post ban rifle that can take 30 round mags legally, you can even pick up one of those crappy maadi's that take hi-cap mags for around 400.00, just get rid of the ten round AK's and get one's that have h-cap's.

If 30rds mags fit in your AK then it is legal to put them in your gun as is, it does not have to have an American made parts kit. If you paid less than the average for your AK, then you probably have one of those BATF approved ten round capacity guns. In Wa. you can use an AK to hunt if you wish, just use the correct ammo. I have had people tell me that your hunting rifle can not be able to hold more than 5rds, no one has yet to show me where in the regs. it says that.

If you can take the double stackers, then get your hands on a 5 round clip. You should be able to use it. BTW, what do use yours to hunt?

The US part's kits are only relevant if you plan on removing your thumbhole stock and replacing it with a pistol grip and buttstock. Albert.

In most states now, and in Washington I know for a fact, any weapon used in hunting must be of a certain caliber, and if using a rifle with a removable magazine, said magazine can not exceed more than 5 rounds. In some states it is now unlawful to have in your possession a magazine that holds more than five rounds while hunting

Those laws are just crazy. A friend of mine's father hunts white-tailed deer with nothing but a .22 hornet. I don't personally feel this caliber is large enough, but his freezer's always full!

In Tennessee and Arkansas there is a minumum caliber rule for deer .24 but no mag cap rule. In Mississippi there is one rule for deer hunting it must be a center fire rifle or shotgun. No mag cap rule. So if you want to hunt with your 30,40,55 round mags or75 or 100 rd drums come on down south.

"American by birth, southern by the grace of God" and able to hunt with hicap mags.
