Single shot bolt action AK

Just a thought! Build an AK complete except, no factory bored gas port. Then you have a mag-fed, single shot, straight pull bolt action, with all sorts of nifty things inside the receiver. Then if, (and this is for educational purposes only) the balloon starts to drift skyward, BORE THE HOLE!!!!.

Why not install a permanently blocked gas tube on a barrel with the port in place? You might have some gunk to clean out during the conversion but it would be simpler than drilling a gas port. I'm not sure if the gas tube could be blocked in such a fashion that would still accomodate the piston, so it might have to be removed also. But, of course, this is too good to be true.

Or just get a secont bolt carrier. One WITHOUT a piston on it. Conversion back would be a simple swap.
