View Full Version : How Best To Respond To Anti-Gun Celebrities

I am one of those people who finds it difficult to support any company or product who employs as a spokesmen or spokeswoman, a person who is activiely involved in taking away our Constitutional freedoms or supports the undermining of the principles which made this country great. Examples would include actor Martin Sheen who is a big backer of Fidel Castro was and was a supporter of the Sandanistas. Alec, Bill, and all the other Baldwins who are very anti-gun and anti-military. Comedian George Carlin, an old hippie-commie from the 60s, who said the two worst things that happened to the U.S. were Christianity and private property. Rose, need I say more. So, I was wondering, what is the best way to not support them and get out our message seeing most of us don't have "star" power to influence others?

I have a problem with self promoting celebrities that push their agenda and then go do a line of coke. Why should we listen to these people they live in a fantasy land of protection. Screw them!

Yeah, and a lot of them probably carry a .44 Magnum for self-defense.... kinda like old anti-gun Brady who buys a gun for her relative.

I read somewhere that Silly Jesse Rafael, who is very anti-gun, several years ago applied for a handgun permit in New York City. When asked by someone about the apparent hypocrisy of being for the banning of guns and then applying for a permit for herself, she said it was different in her case. She was a celebrity. In other words, disarm us peasants but the rich and the celebrities get to protect themselves. What is also hypocritical is that the rich and famous are probably not living in places where they have to worry about crime as much as the rest of us.

Celebrities often do things that they believe are in-line with the public opinion not what their personal belief is on the matter. If they feel bashing firearms ownership is what is "in" with their fans then they will do it while still keeping their glock arround the house. They are by nature spineless with a few exceptions.

Boycott everything having to do with them, and then write a letter to their sponsors telling them that you, your family and your friends are boycotting them and why. Then tell them that you are posting your opinion on several websites that are sympathetic. Their sponsors really understand the dollar impact.

I have been in phone contact with NOTPARS and yes we brought up the Pledge of Allegiance debate. He has just recently received a computer system (for free but it is an older one) so maybe he will be online again soon. If not then sometime around the first week of September.

Latest word is that he was attacked by a bunch of wild liberal left wing bumble bee's :)
He claims to be allergic to bee stings but I think in reality he is allergic to work....witness that fact that he became a school teacher
;)

The man himself in Colorado home of the brave, land of the free, lover of women and beer and defender of the consitution

Funny you should bring this up....I just e-mailed him several days back and got a reply. I'm in no mood to get into a heated arguement or anything---just wondered how he was. Boy, as soon as school was out he just up and disappeared, glad to hear he's doing well.

Not all jobs require dirty hands and aching bones.

Everyone complains that teachers "get the summer off". but they never mention that teachers have to generate a class syllabus, generate handouts and tests, grade the tests and do this AT HOME WITHOUT BEING PAID.

It isn't easy trying to keep a classroom, filled with bored kids, interested in what's being taught AND keep the classroom grade average at an acceptable level.

Teachers are also graded... if their classroom average isn't what it should be, questions are asked and action is taken.

Before you condemn teachers for having as easy job, take a walk in their shoes.

HI Roger, Actually that was said tongue in cheek. I have known this teacher for many, many years way before he landed his cushy job as a teacher :) I have nothing against teachers. I do have something against the NEA though and the brain washing of American kids. I do have something against schools that do not teach capitialism any longer, or American history or the 2nd ammendment. I do know for a fact that NOTPARS works his ass off and spends many, many hours in prep. Originally this was just a poke at him. Hey lighten up and go out and shoot a few rounds

I wanted to vote for both boycott their movies and their employers. The thing I must remember is all of what is going on in the world is part of JESUS CHRIST'S PLAN. the end is coming, KNOWING JESUS is all that will save you in the end. I have been around awhile, and this isn't the country I grew up as a boy. are things getting better, I don't see that it is. We are loosing our rights continuely, HOMELAND SECURITY wait till gets organized and into full swing. I live within walking distance of Mexico, our Border Patol are being shot at by the Mexican military and our government wants to take the auto select lever off the M16s our patols have. They have to be very careful about stopping mexicans, but stop me almost time they see me, not as much anymore because they know me so now it to visit which is fine with me.
The point in all this is we have little say anymore, we are in the minority. We have little impact and they know it. Its only a matter of time we will not beable to have these forums. Ask the LORD FOR YOUR SALVATION. live in peace.:)

If you look close enough to some of these movies that there making these days. you will see that they(Liberals) are changing history to there logic of thinking! (Scary) but it's true. they are taking so called true stories and twisting them so people think that history was this homemade liberal movie . years from now young people will never know the truth.because they were brainwashed by fiction movies. the idiocy must be stopped.

There is a way to get the message out to young people. if everyone posted a small article in there local newspapers at the same time across the country. thousands of teens would see it and at least wonder about the truth behind the movies. it works in marketing !! MTC

Justin11,

While that sounds like fun and all, it send a strange message to people. Sort of a deranged message that scares people.

The best way to address these issues is to keep a cool head and take the high road. Always show people that you are a responsible gun owner and be careful of your image.

I like to shoot up objects that have no meaning, like old PC's that have died. My favorite is old hard drives from PC's. They present a nice target 3.5 inches by 5 inches hanging from a horizontal chain. For a more skillfull shot I shoot Laptop drives as they are twice as small.

Being a PC tech I can get my hands on plenty of obsolete hard drives too shoot and it helps to vent frustration;)

Remember the image you project.

If you are a teacher, as your post suggests, I hope you are not one of the bad ones that you have characterized in your post. If you are, please find another line of work.

As a parent of two, both 4.0+ GPAs, I can tell you we do more work for our kids' education than do their teachers, generally. Out of 10, there are about 2 (20%) who really earn their money.

No offense intended, hope none taken.

I've seen nothing but good constructive contributions from him in the past. I do not see you advertising what you do for a living. Oh, and if you think teachers are overpaid maybe you should try it your self ;) .

Just wondering how many teachers we do have here?

Some are good most are bad.
How many teachers here belong to the NEA?
How many teachers here have 2nd ammendment material up in their rooms?
How many teach so called bio-diversity in class?
How many allow military recruiters into their classrooms?
How many bring the NRA into the classrooms?

Just wondering

Good! That's the way it's going to be if you want 4.0 kids. Not trying to bash you, but many in this country have decided that their kids education is up to the teachers anymore.

If a teachers has 30 kids per class and 6 classes of kids per day, how much time can a teacher spend with each student.

My wife was a teacher until this last fall when she became a stay at home Mom. Believe me, teachers don't get paid enough for the headaches they endure. I can't tell you how much of my money has gone to school supplies either. Every year the kids would show up at school with no supplies. out 130 kids my wife had last year maybe 5 had pencils and paper. We go out every August and buy a set op paper, pencils, folder, and notebooks for each kid in her classes.

Parents need to get more involved and that is the bottom line!
