removing the rear sight

Can someone elabrate on how to do this?

The way I've found to be the least deadly, is to chuck a #40 drill bit in a drill press, put rifle under drill,supported by rags on table, and use drill arm to send the #40 bit into the area between the most forward part of the sight and the sight housing, to depress and hold the leaf spring. Keep rifle level and steady, and for sure wear safety glasses. Same for installation........TURBO
