I almost forgot about this. A while back a friend of my daughters bout a new Taurus Millenium in .45ACP. He fired one box of 230gr HP and brought it over for me to see. The top rear of the frame, right at the back of the slide was missing on both sides. I checked it out and it seems the frame will flex enough for the slide to catch the frame and ever so slightly. Over the course of the 50rds it tore away the frame corners. Well today I met a guy at the range who was shooting the same pistol. We got to talking about it and I checked his pistol and the right rear of the frame was cracked completely through. He hadn't even noticed it. He told me he had fired nothing but midrange, 230gr handloads since he bought it last year. I have heard no reports of problems from the 9x19 Millenium owners. Looks like the design may not be able to handle the .45ACP recoil. Anybody got one?

I do not own one. But the guy at my local gun shop calls em "tore-ass".
