I was waiting to post this because I wanted to make sure the claims made on the webpage were legit. This stuff is called MILTEC and is at http://www.apdinc.com/M1guns.htm
This stuff is great!!!! I lubed the bore and moving parts prior to shooting. This stuff only takes a few (2 or 3)drops for a whole rifle. I put 200 rounds through it last weekend and 250 today. I ran a patch through the bore at the end of shooting and it was dirty on the first pass and barely anything the second patch and I was shooting the Russian JHP. Check the web sight out it is worth yours and your AK's time, believe me.
Alan Roth (the distributor)appears to be a great guy to deal with. It took about 4 business days to get here and it was worth the wait. Also, some of you may be able to buy from a local distributor, we have none in FL.

Put 400 rounds through the Poly Tech today and used one patch in the barrel to clean it again. The bolt and gas piston wiped clean with the same cloth. This stuff is awesome!!!
To bad the guy who owns the rights to this stuff couldn't market toilet paper in a diarrhea
ward.

Yes, I have been using it for a few months now. I find it to be excellent stuff! I use it on all my guns it is worlds better than CLP. In my AR's it reduces the carbon fouling in the carrier and on the bolt. I understand that Beretta now uses it to assemble their pistols at the factory and recommends it for use. It won't touch copper fouling that's already there but if you start with a squeaky clean gun, Militec-1 makes it easy to keep it that way.

I've been using Militec for several years now. It is an excellent lube, no doubt about that. It does make clean up of a weapon easier. However, I still have to get out the stainless brush to clean off the face of my AK's gas piston, and the rear of the bolt of my AR. Brake/Electric motor cleaner takes care of the rest.

According to the Factoid this MILITEC lubricant was actually debunked by an Army Lab where the engineers tested it and wrote an app note concluding that it was not any better than a bunch of other products on the market.

Which ARMY LAB,and what type of "TESTS" were applied to this lubricant? I've applied my own "STRESS TESTS" to this lubricant using my metal lathe, lots of pressure induced by a tourque load, and this lubricant. If this lubricant couldn't stand up to my own tests I definetely wouldn't use it on my weapons.Where is this factoid available.I Need to know, because printed words don't do the lubricating I've seen ,the lubricant(MILITEC) does!

Does Miltec1 list any test results for reduction of friction?I'd like to know what the Peak Load factor is of Miltec1 before switching from what I've been using.
