My grandpa gave me one of these a couple years ago, I really only just recently identified it...Anyway it's in nice shape, has the sheath and leather frog, blade is still very nicely mirror polished, but the sheath and handle are a bit worn.

Anyway, is one of these worth anything or are they fairly common? (I don't want to sell it, but just wanna know if it's anything cool :))

Also what is a good site that hosts free pictures that I can post from???

The "HEER" officers daggers are common but are getting rarer as time passes. The general price range for the Heer daggers is $275.00-$750. 00 depending on what you have and condition.I have 2 of these. Please post a pic.I could be more precise seeing pics.If it has a leather frog it is more than likely an enlisted mans and those are usually converted bayonets.Officers models had a metal scabbard with hanging rings.Still the price is about the same for "enlisted ranks" depending on the condition and maker.
