Okay here's a cheap-o, ez way to maintain your cheek-weld on a K-31 and cycle the action without getting a clear view of the striker from inside the eye.

(1) Large slip-on recoil pad. I used an Uncle Mike's.
(1) Box top from a cardboard moving box.

Cut eight inserts -- or how ever many you need -- from the cardboard to put inside the recoil pad and slide the recoil pad on the rifle.

The inserts will also make the large pad fit -- versus being floppy -- and since cardboard is mostly air, the inserts will remove any recoil that the pad "misses". Shot mine with a t-shirt on yesterday and didn't notice a thing. But just the xtra stock length makes the rifle flow.

(And yes, with hindsight, it's obvious as hell...;) )
