I bought a couple hundred rounds at a show, I've run 4 boxes through my Norinco .223 and got really nice groups at about 50yds. Saving the rest for a trip to a range for comparison purposes. Their 7.62x39 is great, I expect the .223 to be equal or better.

Glad you give it a thumbs up bro 'cause I couldn't pass it up so I went ahead and bought it. $134.97/1000 seems like a steel to me for brass cased boxer primed 223! Too bad my V2 AK beats the snot out of the cases or I would reload them.

Sellier and Bellot is my favorite choice in ammo. I have it in 5.56x45, 30-06 and 9x19. I would have it in 7.62x39 but I haven't seen any in a while and I heard they stopped producing it. :rockin: :rockin: :rockin:

I don't see where you could go wrong at that price! Heck, I'd pay that in a heartbeat. Cheapest local .223 in the gunstore is Wolf and with markup and tax it's easily the same as what you paid. My Norinco likes the Wolf just fine, but for accuracy I'm sure the S&B is better.

I was using S&B until the range guys told me I could not use steel core ammo in the extreme dry months.

They ban it due to fire danger here in Utah at a few of the local ranges.

It seemed like good stuff but I switched to PMP.

I have picked up so much 5.56 S&B from the range that it seems to be real popular with shooters.

I just bought 500 rounds of S&B for 94.00.
I prefer the South African DenEL but they were out.

The sales guy said S&B were decent rounds. I guess I'll find out next weekend.

Put half a case through 2 M4gerys so far with only one stuck case, I'm won't complain, accurracy is not what I prefer, but I don't buy it that reason.

Check the cases on your empties. I tried a case of S&B 1999 "M193", and it was the worst stuff I've ever fired. Brass was brittle, and many cases had split necks. Very poor feeding characteristics (mags and guns which fed any other .233/5.56 just fine during the same shooting sessions), and it seemed underpowered.

If it works for you, great - but I'll never try it again.
