Hi All,
I finally acquired my c&r license and am chomping at the bit to pick up either one of the 1927 Hartford Colts or Sistema pistols. I spoke with JDL Monday and was told that they were looking at at least a three week wait. After reading this board, it seems like 3 weeks will probably turn into three months or three years (why in the world do they have them up on their web site if this is thecase??). I checked with SOG, and they don't have any Sistemas either. Plus, I believe that they do not ship to Massachusetts where I live. Anyway, does anyone out there know of anyone who may happen to have either of these pistols in stock? I'd love to get an authentic Hartford Colt (I've always wanted one of these), but could most definitely live with the Sistema. Anyway, many thanks for the help!!!
Kind regards,
John

1. I got mine from SOG. They were the last ones I knew that had them at a decent price.

I spoke with J.L.D. today (07JUN02) about the Sistema I order ... I was told at least another MONTH WAIT!

FYI for anyone interested.

I called Century yesterday and was told that they had no REAL date but thought it would be at least another month.

Well, I have waited many years so I guess another month or two can be withstood. Wish I'd kept my Colt Mk IV, Series 70 that I had. Even with an off-center bored barrel it was a great pistol. I could have replaced the barrel and saved the bad one as a souvenier! It was bad from the factory, bought it new ITB.

Boy do I know this feeling. I almost got rid of my 1911, had just got a 92FS & thought "I should get rid of that 1911, I never shoot it anymore"
Lucky for me I kept the 1911 & the 92FS is gone, no way is the 1911 leaving. It was my favorite before & still is.
Stay safe.
