Is there anything I should do before I shoot a new SLR-95 for the first time? Do I need to break-in the barrel any particular way (i.e. shoot one round, run a patch thru it and repeat, etc.) or can I just shoot it and clean it when I'm through? Thanks.
Hello,
I would make sure that there is not anything in the barrel such as too much grease.
Remember that these are tough guns that are not prone to any form damage from shooting.
You should take your rifle apart and give it a quick once over and yes do run a patch down the barrel with some solvent just to be sure and do lube the rails.
Take care and have fun!
OUT in Vegas!

This is the way ive done all of my new guns for over 20 years .after each 20 rounds i would clean the bore up to 100 rounds after that its rountine after each time the gun is used. Put a Buffer in there you will like it I have them in all of my AKs.
