reblueing or parkerizing Maadi misr

Due to the horrible finish on my Maddi, I am looking into refinishing the barrel and reciever. What would be the best method for doing this; removing the paint finish, reblueing or parkerizing? How expensive would it be to parkerize it? Is it something I could do myself?

Go to Brownell's and get TWO cans of their Matt Black Baking Laquer. Take your rifle apart (internals too), scrub well, dry at about 200 degrees for 20 minutes. Take it outside, paint acording to instructions, and BAKE at 325 for 30 minutes.
