Hey guys, will be passing these e-mails on as I get them. For shits and grins I suscribed to the Brady bunch's e-mail action updates, and I will pass them on to you as I get them.
I hope that the info gleaned from these e-mails will help get us out to vote against their politicians and maybe get pro-active against their stances on gun issues via writing, calling or e-mailing the congressmen on our stance, their members are doing it everyday, so should we!!

The Brady Campaign Unveils Radio Issue Ad Campaign to Educate Maryland Voters on Gubernatorial Candidate Bob Ehrlich's Record On Guns
The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence united with the Million Mom March is currently running its first issue advocacy radio ads of the 2002 campaign season. The ad campaign informs Marylanders about U.S. Representative Bob Ehrlich's record on guns and his strong ties to the gun lobby. Ehrlich is a candidate for the Maryland Governorship.
Our 60-second radio spots highlight Bob Ehrlich's terrible record on gun safety as a state legislator and as the U.S. Representative for Maryland's second district. He voted to repeal the Federal Assault Weapons Law, he voted against legislation to close the gun show loophole, and he opposed an amendment that would have required the Department of Justice to keep National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) records on gun purchases for at least 90 days, favoring instead the destruction of NICS records after just one day. His allegiance to the gun lobby has earned him a consistent "A" rating from the National Rifle Association.
In a front page Washington Post article, Brady Campaign President Michael D. Barnes was quoted as saying; "Ehrlich's dismal record on gun violence prevention demonstrates that he is an extremist who places the agenda of special interest groups above the safety of Maryland's residents. As a U.S. Representative, Bob Ehrlich, who claims to be a moderate, has never once voted for a common-sense gun safety measure."

Look for other ad campaigns to come during this campaign season that will educate voters about which candidates will vote to keep Americans safer and which candidates will follow the gun lobby's extremist agenda.
Your support helps the Brady Campaign get the word out about candidates like Bob Ehrlich who are putting the safety of his fellow citizens at risk. Thank you!
We Won! NRA Embarrassed by Losing State CCW (Concealed Carry Weapons) Fights
Due to hard work on the part of the Brady Campaign and Million Mom March activists throughout the country, the NRA stealth campaign to win Concealed Carry battles across the country is failing miserably.
The fact is that the NRA's agenda of hidden handguns in churches, bars, sporting events - just about everywhere is not what the American people want. And our lawmakers are listening to us. The hard work of our dedicated members and supporters has been the key to our victories.
The following are a few examples of defeats of reckless CCW laws at the state level. The list also includes how you and other activists helped make it happen:
Arizona - Bill to create a "lifetime" CCW permit - Defeated. Brady Campaign coordinated with a newly formed state group that we helped organize.
South Carolina - Bill to allow CCW guns in schools - Defeated.
The Brady Campaign brought in key school police lobbyists.
Utah - Bill to repeal CCW safety training requirement - Defeated. Brady Campaign coordinated lobbying efforts with a state group.
Virginia - Bill to allow CCW guns in bars and recreation centers - Defeated. Brady Campaign, local Million Mom chapters, and state groups all coordinated lobbying, action alerts, and media efforts to win this one!
These are just a few examples of CCW defeats. For more news from the states, go to http://www.bradycampaign.org/legislation/state/index.asp and read about what's going on in your state!

PASS IT ALONG!
Please pass this message along to friends, family members, and colleagues so that they too can take a stand for sensible gun laws.
