This belongs to a co-worker. He would like to know the approx. value. I have seen it and it is in pristine condition. I couldn't think of a better place to ask.

Sorry about the picture quality, I didn't take them. Please feel free to ask questions. I'll answer what I can. Thanks again.

Thats a RAD Leader dagger.(Reichs Arbeit Dienst). They were made by by Carl Eichorn of Solingen. They are in the $2500 range.I have not seen many reproductions of this type of dagger but I do recommend you inspect it with a fine toothed comb before buying.Id need to see clearer and close up pictures to be able to tell if its a fake.If its checked out BUY IT NOW if you can get a good price!Id LOVE to own it,been searching for one myself. For the most part german daggers were not an "issue" item. They were bought privately by the german servicemen in catalogs and there are 100's of variations and models. The correct inscription for what you have there should be "Urbeit Adelt".I can barely see it in your picture.
