About all I can say is-- this is the sweetest rifle I can ever remember shooting.

I bought it from Samco in Miami several months ago, paid $229 for it, and I flat "love" this baby.

I didn't have to do a thing but load it and pull the trigger-zero was perfect.

I also fired the SAM7 with a new RPK windage adjustable rear sight and after taking a small triangular file and cutting a groove in the rear sight notch so that I could form a proper sight picture, I got it shooting beautiful tight 1" groups at 30 paces.

A bent bolt 96 you say . . . that means either its' a former 41B Sniper rifle or somehow it's been fitted with a 41B bolt. Do you see any signs of the receiver having been drilled and tapped on the left side? They might have put in screws and cut them off and filed them flush to plug the former scope base holes. If so you should still be able to find them.

Thanks Schuetz for the info. I did not see any evidence of holes being drilled but now that I know about that I'll check closer. I'll also check if the #'s match and post the results. I like this gun so much I trotted over to WallyWorld and bought a $14.97 gun case to put it in.
