1. the bottem one is the one Ive been coveting for years and finally found. Thats the 1918 model, but for concealed carry I would have to go with the Colt officers (third from the top with the rosewood grips).

2. For the price the Autoordnance 1911a1 is very nice. She performs extremely well and cost under $400.00.

3. For Matches the top Series 80 Govt is my Favorite. HELL I LOVE THEM ALL.

Damn Neil, you got some DaddyWhackers there. I've got a Stock Series 80. Nice pistol except for the occasional empty it likes to toos straight back at the old fivehead. Used to be a fourhead but the hair lines headin north. :p

Looks like you got some nice Argy's in the mix. Have you ever had one in 38 Super? I know they have always been popular in Mexico and here in competition to make major and get more rounds. I've thought of collecting that caliber.

1. I would like the 38 Super if I could find one. Im Looking at a Star B 9mm right now.

2. Interesting note; In Mexico it is illegal for the civilian population to own anything above a 38 cal. That is why they developed the Super38. The Govt doesnt want to be outgunned I guess.;)

I see new ones offered in .38 Super in SGN from one of the regular advertisers. The always have a name like "El Presidente", "El Diablo", etc. Might make for a nice collection as most of this caliber were never retailed here in the states. I've also got the itch to collect one of each 10mm semiauto made. I'm talking the full house puppy like Nugent carries. I see those becoming rare in the not too distant future.
