i just recently put a new ar-15 m4 model with the a3 detachable handle and mini y comp muzzle brake. it it the shorty version 16inch barrel with the telestyle fixed buttstock. i dont know much about ar-15's so i would like some info on reliablity and who makes the best of this model. this one is a bushmaster. and i heard a rumor that bushy is out performing colt. any info is greatly appreciated cause i dont know much about these guns but i love how this one looks. thanks guys shoot fast and often

I think you'll be totally satisfied with the bushy, not many complaints from the 100s of posts I've read. I myself have a build with a bushy lower and love it.

Bushmaster makes a fine AR, I have an RRA my self. I believe they both are the hottest manufacturers right now, although many people swear by Armilite. These are oten said to out perform colt, but then again I dont think they put out the volume that Colt does.

I have Colt and they work very good, 20 inch HBar and M16 20 inch upper with the bayo lug cut off.

I also have a BM with RRA M4gery upper it will do one inch groups at 100m all day. Just don't touch the barrell.

RRA, Rock River Arms, is a small company that puts a lot of quality into their work.

They probably have the finest craftsmanship on the market right now.

If you can afford a colt, that is your way to go. If not, a Bushy is a great rifle also. I own both and I'am very happy with both.

I have a Bushy 20 inch H-bar nat. target and really enjoy shooting it. Put 300 rounds of perfection through it the other day and loved every second of it. Colt is a great rifle, but for the price, the Bushmaster is a great AR!:rockin:

Well I think I have 3 BM's and a Stoner all with 16 inch barrels and a Colt A1 slab side 20......All are great.

I would rethink the Mini Y comp however. More people complain about those than the bunch complaining about FTF/FTE MF's.

The Mini Y and even the Y comp re load and direct the muzzle blast at who ever is on either side of you.

I would get the full 16 inch barrel and later have a Cav Arms, Kurts or some other wantabe A2 Birdcage installed.

Keep a few things in mind, USGI Mags, USGI Butt Stock kit with chamber brush and Breakfree CLP. (Don't mix CLP and other lubes or solvents, it can get gummy)

Good Luck
