Blackjack, my new VEPR K 7.62 will be here next week. I know that the recoil buffer is something that I will need, however I don't know which one to get for the carbine.
What are the differences, besides color?
I'll be ordering from you as soon as the carbine gets here. Thanks

Unless you are shooting full-auto it really doesn't matter, either will work fine. The blue is a little softer and absorbs mort impact, the red being harder has a longer life. Both protects your weapon from impact damage and provides a smoother, quieter operation.

Under full auto tests the blue started showing wear at about 8,000 rds, the red after 10,000 showed very little wear.

Buy one of each and see which works best for you would be my advice.

Bigroll, I have 2 VEPR K's (7.62 and 5.45) and a SA-M7 Classic all three have the red buffers and none have ever experienced a malfunction.
VEPR's tend to have slightly less felt recoil since they are heavier than your average AK.
I think you would be happy with the red ones and since they last longer, I am going to recommend that color.
The best thing about the buffers is once you install them you tend to forget that they are even there until you clean your guns.
