Zuoave , I've got to hand it to you ! You have the willpower of a puritannical pilgrim :D :D :D

I have a mental picture of you ! It's the guy with the pitch-fork standing next to his wife :D The name of the painting is " An American Gothic " :D :D :D ;)

Just Kidding , of course :D

Two.

I will probably add a third "perfect condidition" SR K-31 safe queen when I come across one, but the two I have are great enough shooters to not justify a third shooter.

One of the last K-31 shooters I saw had a finish that looked like the stain on SAR-1 stocks, i.e. applied with a broom. I was shocked.

Haven't bit yet. All the ones I've seen have been on the ratty side wood-wise and only so-so blue-wise. Rumor mill somewhere has it that more in better shape are coming eventually. We'll see. I got the I-wants for a CETME and an "affordable" AR-15 clone. Anyone have anything good to say about Olympic Arms?

Yeah, they're all pretty much like that. But every one I've seen has a shiny and sharp barrel with great actions. They're "shooter" grade because of the stock & blueing condition, but they're still all original and numbers matching. Since you can't really redo rifles like that, you might as well get one to shoot; the great condition K-31 that I'm waiting for won't have round one fired through it.

I have heard nothing but bad news about Olympic Arms.
You get what you pay for. Buy or build a Bushmaster.

Thanks, I don't need an $800 headache. Heck, that would buy 4 LN M39s!

This question reminds me of the old Tootsie Pop commercial for those old enough to remember it. Actually they have replayed it in recent history as well but it is originally from the late 60's.

Anyway the two kiddies ask the wise old owl how many licks does it take to get to the soft chocolaty center of a tootsie roll pop? The wise owl takes the pop and proceeds to lick it...and says...a-one *lick*...a-two*lick***...CRUNCH!! It takes TWO licks to get to the soft chocolaty center of a tootsie roll pop says the owl.

And thus the long winded answer to your question. It takes TWO Swiss K31's to make Redstar happy. :)

I have one, the one that I imported from Switzerland after buying it direct from the owner.

I'm looking for a 2nd but am going to be picky.

I have two select condition ones, and I transfered my third to my father-in-law for Fathers Day. I am hopeful that some even nicer ones will be imported sometime within the next year and then I will have to add a couple more.

My wife was telling me today that my father-in-law finally shot his K-31 this past Saturday and he told her that it's one of the most accurate rifles that he's ever shot. His brother fired it also and concurs.
