Hey Blackjack,
I've got three or four of your red-ones and was wondering if you've ever heard of someone doubling them up in there rifle? My father made one out of !00% rubber thats used at a gravel-plant(rocks and dirt and stuff pound this stuff all day with little signs of wear)and was thinking of using one behind one of your reds. The rubber is very soft and might kill any recoil thats there.Just a thought.Let me know watch you think.

Runningwater,
Although you may reduce felt recoil some by doubling the buffers (it will then be as thick as my competitors buffer) I suspect you will comprimise the reliability of your weapon. The main reason I started to produce the 1/4" buffers was to get away from problems such as short-cycling and mis-feeding that thicker recoil buffers sometimes can cause.
I do offer a blue buffer that is softer and will absorb more impact, have you installed a muzzle break yet?

Blackjack,
No brake on it yet.Having a hard time with believing it would make a difference on a SAR3.The recoil is not really there that much at all with these rifles. But when you try a quick follow-up shot you can see what I mean.Less muzzle-jump,rifle-recoil=tighter pattern, less time focusing on next shot?Does that make any sence?

BTW,
You have a awsome product.I like them a lot.

I have a SAR-3, I will be installing a break that directs the blast upwards to help keep the barrel down. You are right about the SAR-3's not having much recoil, the main purpose I put the buffers in is to protect my weapon. Even on the 7.62 the most recoil reduction is from using a break, once you try it you'll know what I mean. The buffers main purpose is to provide protection (metal to metal impact), and a smoother, quieter operation.

I went ahead and tried the double-up deal with the the buffers. No difference in felt recoil.Ran 20 rounds through it with no problems.Just seemed like a quicker snap do to the shorter cycle of the bolt.Just thought I'd let you know.A brake will probably be next.I want one for a .223 though.Talk to u later.
