J&G Sales in AZ and SOG in OH have Turk Mausers for 39.99. Sarco in NJ has Mauser 98 Short action rifles for 49.99

If you want a gun to practice on I agree with lpspinner, get a Turkish Mauser.
Cheap, fairly accurate, and historically insignificant.

Zouave,
Beautiful!! I've been looking at Turks for awhile now. I would love to have one, and the price sure isn't bad!! How much extra are the bayonets?

The top two are T38's I bought them last year from Century for $59 each which included the bayonets.
The bottom rifle is an 1893 Turk that I have had half of my life :)
here is a close up of the 1893 action.

Go with the 1938 model Turk , it is a M98 style action , stronger than the M97 style action .

Yep the M38 Turk is the platform that a man can goof with without destroying too much history.
