Possible problems with buffer???

Blackjack: I was given a small handful of your buffers several months ago by a friend, all but 1 the black rubber kind. The odd one was white rubber, and quite thin. These were prototypes, I think, by the relative crudeness of them compared to your current ones.

I have been experiencing jams from my Poly-Tech, as well as an occasional one from my Maadi since installing them. The Poly will jam with the bullet tips pointing straight up, the cases caught sideways in between the bolt and barrel. I thought it was mag related, but it happened even with new mags. I removed the buffer and the problem went away.


Has anyone with an older AK variant mentioned anything to you that is similar to this?? The Maadi would experience a similar type of jam, but much less often than the old Poly. I have since replaced the recoil spring in the Poly, and will try again both with, and without, the buffer installed.


Any ideas what is happening??

Back when I was still searching for the material I wanted to use I had tried some rubber composits that were thicker than what I am using now as well as having much more bounce. There also were some clearance issues on those first ones that wouldn't allow the nose piece to pass properly. I would like to have them back to look at, if you'll send them back to me I'll replace them with current model buffers.
