Just got mine today. VG condition $139.95. I got the $10 HP. I know, I know but I got it anyway. $160 and change delivered with 2% for CC. There part # is SLG-MAS36/308
I imagine it's still a CAI conversion. Perhaps SOG had some back in the wherehouse for a rainy day. C&R offerings have been a bit slow of late. This is my second purchase from them. So far I'm one for one as far as satisfaction goes. Let's see they screw the pooch with this one.

As soon as I pulled the flyer out of the mailbox I ordered one on my cellphone coming up the driveway.
:jump:
I just couldn't wait. I was going to pick up a very nice, enamel finish MAS 36 at the store tomorrow for around $100 but I'll let it slide now. It'll still be there in a week or two. I'm about the only Frenchophile in this neck of the woods anyway. :p

Come On Down. The more the merrier. :D
As far as the SOG rifles go there might be some issues. From what I've seen posted CAI made some of the feed ramps too large. This can cause the cartridge case to be unsupported and can lead to case bulging or rupture. Some say that it needs a new barrel to be done correctly. Some posts state that to shorten the wood after they shortened the barrel CAI just cut off the retaining hook and some of the forend. Now the wood shifts under recoil. These rifles will most likely have a safety added which some reports say prohibit the bolt from being removed. Now bear in mind that these posts are not about all rifles but do represent some rifles and all are legitimate complaints if not outright safety issues. Either these were converted by someone other than CAI and therefore either better or worse, they came from an old batch of conversions and could be just the same or lastly CAI may have gotten their shit together as they seem to have of late on many things, and done these right. The proof is in the pudding as they say. I'll let you all know what I get right away if you decide to hold off a day or so.
