Hey, guys, I want to make my first C&R handgun purchase and am thinking about Centurys Ballester 2 for $300 special. What do you guys think about these? Good deal? What is the basic difference between the Riguad and the Molina?

How hard is it to fix these babies up?

Thanks for the info

I think it is a great deal. I bought two as soon as the sale started and thinking of getting another pair. Below is one I
got in the 300 deal that I just finished

Not much difference. I've got one of each also. They shoot right outta the box, but they are kinda ugly from the condition they're in.

Refinishing is not hard. The hardest part is deciding what type of finish do you want to use.

1. they have seen use but are in great shape mechanically. Ive gotten four from them. Each has had to be refinished as finish is about 20%. grips when clean also look good. Se the 1911 thread on some good before and after examples.

Both pistols are the same, for the most part... As for parts the barrels and mags are the same as a 1911... They come apart quite easy, I did it on one that I refinished... I had stripped it down to individual pieces with no instruction, and believe it or not it all went back together with only a few spare parts :D actually it went back together wuite easy and even funtions flawless, except for shooting to the left a little for me... I will leave it up to the owner to nock the rear site (on the Molina) to their liking... $150 a gun is a great deal.. I have been eyeing them but do not want to deal with the state BS. Buy them and enjoy them :bye:

1. This is my Ballester Riguard with new grips from CDNN. The grips were 14.00 I believe. I used OXPHO blue from brownells to reblue her and she came out fine. Great shooter!!!
