Everybody claims they will have them at the end of the month... But they have been saying that for three months now:confused:

They sure have. I have called so many times the ladies knew me by name, LOL. So.... I got tired of waiting and bought a Rock Island Arsenal .45. I'm glad I did!!

Guinny_Ire,

I think everybody here on the C&R forums are really great people. If we were all together at one place there would be some real horse-trading going on, I'm here to tell you!! We are all in different circumstances but there's just a brotherhood here that you can't find elsewhere. Everybody is so free with advice or good leads on cheap gun deals they've run across. It saves us all a lot of time and frustration. Sure, it also makes us spend more than we'd ever planned on, but what the heck!! LOL Hey, wouldn't it be great if we were all close enough geographically for a shoot!! Oh, well, we can dream can't we!

I think if we were all together we would destroy a hillside with all the lead that we fire at it :D then we would trade guns and destroy another hillside :D And just remember we are only free with advising cheap deals after we have ordered ten or twenty for ourselves :jump: :bye:

SalBO is the best of fellows!! While I've never met him I've known him on bbs since 96 or so I'd guess. Maybe 98. I just don't remember him not being around. I could get 30+ people who have met him and have dealt with him to post here in the next 15 minutes to attest to his character and I'd bet my last dollar there wouldn't be anything but glowing praises of him. If you tangle with him/jerk him he has a temper that can be felt as far as St. Louis but he's also the first to forgive when others wouldn't. He's a straight shooter and he'll always shoot straight back always in the most friendliest of banter. I know if I were to show up at his door unannounced he'd put me up like that (hint hint lol). He's the best of guys and that's that

SalBo,

You're killing me with your projects!!! LOL I mean, your projects look as good as new guns. You must work in an arsenal or something!!

I've been working on my M1 carbine project all day. You remember those parts I ordered yesterday from Centerfire System???? They came TODAY!!! Man that's what I call super service! But I'm missing $8 worth of small parts....... LMAO!!! I thought they were included in the other stuff but I guess not.

Put 3 C&R holders on a deserted island with one Turk Mauser and all 3 can make a living.:D:D

Chris, thanks for the good words my friend. You know that you are always welcome at my house. And I will reciprocate on the knowledge of your generousity and good will. Once we got you to buy your first rifle, a mini 30 and you got your C&R, it was all over but the crying for you to save much money from now on....LOL

Well, I decided to take a day off from C&R and spend the day with the family. School clothes shopping and then some groceries.. We ended up at Wal MArt for some of our food stuff and I just had to buy a little ammo while there..hehe...3 more boxes of Winchester personal protection 230 grains went into the amo box a few moments ago. Not much but I do that every other week or so, so it adds up.

I had given up on my MAS 36's from CEntury since they told me last week they never recieved my license and order sheet. I figured I had just missed the boat on that one and chalked it up. Well low and behold when we pulled up in the driveway I noticed a box on the front porch. I made a bee line to the front door after coming in the back and there it was, my Century order. Bigger that @^#* my MLE 36's were home.
I opened them up and would grade them better than good, maybe good plus....loaded inside with cosmoline but all parts are there and one has all matching serial numbers. Both stocks are in very good condition and the metal on both is choice. I cant tell yet if it is blue or painted because of the cosmo. I will degrease them tomorrow and report back. I am excited now and have a couple more jobs to do after I finish my last Ballester 45. So I am good for another week or so....

HOOOOAHHHHH !!!!!!
:D
