Nice color on the wood. Is that a u-fix-em or just their regular Carcano?

Still see them toes :)

if that's a C prefix serial number, then you can add $$ to it. C prefixes have been rare so far with this Albanian shipment.

It looks pretty bluing worn, but will clean up a hell of alot better than you would think now, provided it isn't pitted too bad. The important thing is how is the bore?

If you can find Zouaves' first thread on his, I detailed how to strip the bolt.

If any of you guys want to know how to remove magazine parts and reinstall them, let me know.

Congratulations! I have a C65XX which the Carcano Database owners told me was the closest they logged to Oswald's (his was C2766).

You are now the closest one that I know of.

?? in the picture it looks as all the rifles have a curved bolt? I have a Carcano with curved bolt and was to the understanding that it was supposed to have a strait one. I will have to post pictures Monday.

If your Carcano is a long rifle, 91 or 91/41 it should have a straight bolt. Bent bolts are for the short rifles etc. [TS, 91/24, 91/28, 91/38 short rifle, etc]. Bent or straight bolts will function in any rifle, but only the long rifles were issued with straight bolts.
