View Full Version : Finally! m41b Sniper pics.
believe me I've tried--AND tried, but I can't figure how to jump all the hurdles to post a pic here. BUT... if you go to gunboards.com, to their Sniper Rifle Forum, you can see this 93 year old beauty and details of the Jackenkroll sidemount she sports.

Rigth click on the picture, select properties, then drag highlight the url of the picture, then right click, then select copy, then come here and click on the IMG button, then paste. If the website does not have a block on remote linking it'll work.
everything's cool untill I try to paste--instead I get an informational of various types of pasting or URL pasting, but that's as far as I get. The "other guys" just have a "browse" button that allows direct downloads from the desktop, as simple as attaching pics of the grand kids to an e-mail(not that I have any): two clicks and you're done--a godsend for folks who showed up the day they passed out the simpleton genes. However; I sincerely appreciate your efforts to assist.
Thank you sir.

Very nice. How many crown stamps are on the stock behind the trigger guard?
Two stamps, one with an "S" for Stockholm I assume.
Sadly, the numbers on the scope base don't match and the rear arm is too short, so a round will strike the dirt far short of a target, using the bright and sharp original scope. A 1" like the 12X shown, allows for corrective shims to bring it into a usable range of elevation.
I keep hoping someone will respond to pleas for information where I can locate alternative arms/base assembly. One respondent pointed out that the scope base is not Jackenroll but was manufactured by Weihlrauch, Zella-Mehlis. I haven't found any record of this firm on the search engines. I've e-mailed Samco without responce as yet. I purchased this from a local dealer as a "consignment" item. Wrapped in the unopened sling was the Samco invoice to the dealer and it broke it down as $700/ rifle, $400+/scope, $50/sling and around $200 for the scope mount. Can't find the receipt but those are close. I was surprised to see it broken down in that manner, total: $1350. I got it for $1050, likely because of the scope problem, which was a plus for me cause I like to fix stuff.

Please send me pics of the scope mount (davsarber@hotmail.com) I can't view any pics you have posted, and can't visualize what is wrong.
